Adrian spent ten years working at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester as an Associate Director.
Amongst many productions were main house and studio shows,
new writing development projects (via the very successful SLAMMERS productions) and youth theatre work,
especially projects involving offenders and young people at risk of expulsion.
New scripts directed include AUNTIE KARR'S FROCK by Claire Luckham, LEVIATHAN by Rod Wooden,
MARTHA & MARY by Tony Casement, DAVY'S DAY by Nicola Werenoska,
DEEP JOY and BLUE SKY STATE both by Anna Reynolds
and
his own scripts,
MILLENIUM SPRINGS, LANDED and COMMON GROUND.
Devised work includes THREE HEADS IN A WELL, and LOOK AT ME which was developed with young people.
Major revivals include KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN, THE CARETAKER and TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD.
Adrian has also directed many productions for Pit Prop Theatre, Theatre Centre and the Half Moon. |
